Hi Y'all, I'm your local real estate expert specializing in the Counties north and east of Nashville. Sumner County is approximately 25 miles northeast of Metro-Nashville. Hendersonville, the City by the Lake, is the largest city, and Gallatin, voted The Nicest City in America in 2017, is the county seat. Other cities include Goodlettsville, White House, Portland, Westmoreland, Millersville, and Mitchellville. Consider Cottontown, Bethpage, or Castalian Springs if you want a more rural setting. Be sure to visit Bledsoe State Park. Robertson County is north of Nashville, just up I65. Springfield is the county seat...make plans to walk around the historic town square. Other cities include Adams, where you can float the Red River that will take you by the Bell Witch Cave, Cedar Hill, Greenbrier, Ridge Top, Cross Plains, Orlinda, and parts of Millersville, White House, and Portland. You know it's fall in Robertson County when you see all the "smoking tobacco barns." Wilson County is east of Nashville, off of I40. Lebanon is the county seat and is home to the Wilson County Fair and the Tennessee State Fair. These are must-dos! Mount Juliet is the largest city between Old Hickory and Percy Priest Lakes. It has some of the best retail and restaurants in Middle Tennessee, and it is just a short 15-minute commute to BNA airport. Wilson County also offers smaller, more rural areas such as Watertown, Gladeville, Tuckers Crossroads, and LaGuardo.
